How a station stop works

Brake early. A train needs about 400 m to stop from 80 km/h — the bar at the top counts down to the next station.
Stop with the cab by the station sign (anywhere along the platform is fine). Overshot? Reverse a little.
Press E to open the doors. Wait a moment while people get on.
Junctions: a signal with a row of white lights (the "feather") stands 400 m before the points. Lights on = the points are set for the branch; off = straight on. Press J before that signal to choose; after it, the signalman sets them for your run.
Press E again to close them, then ↑ for throttle and off you go. The guide line on screen tells you what's next.
